BFBC2 March Release

Hey Bros! Been kinda dead on the forum so thought I'd stir it up again.

So no one has said anything about the new Battlefield Bad Company 2 release coming up in a few weeks??? Whats up with that?

Been checking out the trailers (see our News Posts) and it looks pretty cool. There are different types of battle, same general squad play as BF2 but even more of an emphasis on teamwork. Looks like they have a lot of the same "kits" like in BF2142 but a lot of new vehicles, armor, and weapons. Plus they have a new graphics engine that provides a fully destructible environment thus allowing you to take out buildings, walls, trees, etc. Seems like every battle would be very different since the map can drastically change from one round to another!

Here is a pretty good video: http://battlefieldbadcompany2.com/videos

Anyway, you can get the Beta even now but you have to reserve (and purchase I'm assuming ) a copy before you can download it. Haven't done that yet as I'll wait till it hits the local store shelves but looks promising.

Anyone care to share their thoughts? Is this the promised "BF3" everyone was talking about a few months back or is this a different line of games?

Got it!!!

Well boys, I broke down and bought the BF:BC2 on Tuesday and have played a few rounds. I should've quit while I was ahead as I actually had a positive KDR for about 4 rounds and then I blew it!

But I did play long enough to get the medkit upgrade so now I can heal other players, just can't revive anyone yet.

The graphics are great - a lot like COD4 but the same familiar BF keys and general style of play. The fully destructable environment is interesting as I've never played on anything like it. Hiding behind a wall from a tank is no longer a safe bet - LOL .

Still too early for me to give any expert reviews but I am having fun. Looking for other =THB= bros to squad up! Just let me know!

See ya on the BF!

Good Forum Post re:BF2 vs. BFBC2

Hey Guys - I was browsing around the News Feeds and came across this post on the Planet Battlefield forum. They guy gives a pretty good comparison of the two games and I'd have to say he's pretty well summed it up.

http://forumplanet.gamespy.com/battl...1/20207819/p1/

For me, I like the change of pace but he's right - it's just not the same. But then again, would we have wanted it to be? Maybe if there was a BF2 (or 2142 for that matter) with a destructible environment, that would be perfect. the maps are a lot smaller, and therefore not a lot of stealth and opportunity to regroup - it's like one big melee.

Anyway - I'll keep playing just so I can get my unlocks. I was hoping to start out a game with a positive KDR unlike BF2 & BF2142 but I'm already behind .

See ya on the BF!

Hey you Brothers from other Mothers!!!

Long time no talk. I am interested in the new BF game. ALthough I am pretty sure my 2 year+ old machine will probably die.

Maybe we could get some games goin? I know that some of you would love to spend the evening tea-bagging me! LOL!

I have the game and have played a few rounds.
I like it but EA needs to do some tuning before it will run really good.
You armor whores will like it because you can blow the house down around the guy hiding in it.

Thumbs up

So "Taco" drops by today to help me pull some fence posts and gifts me with a copy of BFBC2. Installed and ready to go! I guess we should link-up as the =THB= now has enough participation to fill out a BC2 squad.

As I have been reading, this ought to be an interesting game with non-stop action. We'll see ya on the BF.

Thumbs up

You bet! Just name the time and the place. Fortunately, Taco & I always join up on the same team & squad and use TS to communicate strategy, so the only ass we kick is on the other side. Send us your game name so we can issue a friend request.

Cool. Looking forward to it. I wonder how it gonna be on my PC, but What the hell. I still need to get out to buy the game, so it'll probably take me a week or so.
